Bio

My name is Nathan Falco. This is my personal blog site. It is a work in progress.

A little about me: I am a Christ-follower, an ordained clergy in the Southern Baptist Convention, a hospice chaplain, serious student of Scripture and Christian faith and practice, husband, father, brother, son, and very enthusiastic aquarium hobbyist. My family and I prefer the beautiful state of South Carolina as our home. My religious beliefs are very orthodox, and the practice of my faith and worship is informed by a broad spectrum of Judeo-Christian heritage ranging from Jewish and Catholic to non-denominational. My political views are most often right-of-center but I do not raise the banner of any particular political party. If I do ever vote it is based on my religious convictions and that is all.

I attended undergraduate college at Charleston Southern University and earned a BS in Psychology in 2005. I surrendered to the call to Christian ministry and attended seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, with a Master of Divinity specializing in Biblical Languages. While there I had the distinct privilege to serve as Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of St. Rose Louisiana, the same church that sponsored my ordination in 2009. Shortly after graduation I followed the call from God into vocational chaplaincy. I returned to South Carolina in 2011 and completed Clinical Pastoral Education through a couple local hospitals. For the last five years I have served in ministry as a vocational hospice chaplain. I am blessed and humbled by the opportunity to care for others in their greatest moments of need, to see humanity at both its best and worst, and to bring meaningful hope and comfort in the name of Christ.

I think this brief introduction is sufficient for now, as you explore my site you will discover much more. I hope we get to know each other well.
